Elections are coming

The upcoming elections will be for the following Executive positions: Treasurer, Vice President

Daily Activities

The Anguvigaq executives meet with management boards, participate in committees, communicate with and support the Local Hunting Fishing Trapping Associations (Anguvigait), plan harvesting projects, and review management decisions. They also have specific roles depending on their position.

Working Hours

The executives work full time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm from their hometowns.

• Nomination period: September 28, 2026 at 09:00 - October 14, 2026 at 05:00
• Announcement of nominees: October 16, 2026
• Campaign date: October 29, 2026
• Election date: October 29, 2026

The following persons shall not be nominated or elected as Executives of the Corporation:

• any person who is NOT entitled to exercise their rights or receive benefits under the Act Respecting Cree, Inuit and Naskapi Native Persons (RLRQ, Chap. A-33.1);
• any person who is an undischarged bankrupt;
• any person have been convicted of an indictable offense punishable by imprisonment for two (2) years or more; such disqualifications shall continue for five (5) years after the term of imprisonment fixed by the sentence and, if only fined is imposed or the sentence suspended, for five (5) years from the date of the conviction, unless the person has obtained a pardon for such indictable offense;
• any person who has any outstanding debts of any nature or kind with the corporation and/or any local Anguvigaq which have remained unpaid for more than ninety (90) days; or any person who has failed in the past to honour such a debt which remains unpaid
• any person, other than an Executive, who is an employee of the Corporation, a local Anguvigaq, or one of its subsidiaries.
